I REFUSE TO BE SILENCED!

I do not speak the past,
Neither the present nor the future
But I speak life!
I speak words that heal,
Words that can kill if not spoken.
I speak words that encourage
the discouraged.
I speak words that give hope
to those who have lost it.

With all this, I refuse to be silenced
I refuse to be silenced
by those who speak without thinking.
I refuse to be silenced
by a sound “sh! sh! Sh! Sh sh!”
I refuse to be silenced
by a sign of finger across the mouth.
I refuse to be silenced
by a gun pointed at my forehead.
I refuse to be silenced
by a knife on my chest.

You know what?
You know why?
I refuse to be silenced
Because no-one knows what I know.

Until GOD tells me to be,
I will never be SILENT!
